

His show opened with exuberant African dancers, who set the tone for what was a truly spectacular collection. Hall’s designs featured clothing created from incredible fabrics, including lots of rich, earthy colors and textures. He utilized natural colors such as white, beige and variations of tan and brown. Hall kept his designs delicately detailed – one of my favorites being a die cut white tunic embellished with crystals and paired with gorgeous silk trousers.

The colors of fabric used in Hall’s collection was a major defining element. Utilizing colors reminiscent of the earth, these were the hues that created a stunning palette – sunny yellow and peach-toned dress; beautiful multicolored, water-like fabrics; patterns that looked like paintings of a sunrise or sunset; greens the color of a mossy field. His use of bold colors and traditional African patterns was a spectacular vision – straight down to the incredibly detailed red and turquoise beaded jewelry.
