I’m simply crazy about the cosmetic and beauty line, Bare Escentuals. CEO and Complexion Expert for BE, Leslie Blodgett, is a true beauty goddess, creating gorgeous makeup made from nature’s minerals – which means buh-bye cakey, flakey products that require a welder and buzzsaw to remove.
All of the products from BE are free from oils, fragrances, preservatives and all that other not-so-delicious stuff you’d rather not slather all over your face. Her products are so natural you can even sleep in them without ruining your skin or clogging your pores (which, we don’t necessarily endorse – but we’ve all had those I-probably-had-one-glass-of-wine-too-many nights where you can’t possibly imagine keeping your eyes open long enough to muster up face-washing energy).
My favorite beauty product from this line is the bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation. This lightweight loose powder feels like a dream going on, covers up blemishes and evens out skin tone. Unlike cream or liquid foundation, this powder blends right in with your skin, which means no chance of those tacky foundation lines that result from a blending mishap. It leaves your skin feeling naked and fresh, with a beautifully natural glow. They also have a huge selection of delicious, shimmery eye shadows with names like Queen Phyllis and Bliss. How could a girl not go bare?
hey fashion source - love your blog - I have got to agree have used Bare Necessities and love the product. I plan on exploring thru the rest of the blog and look forward to many future fashion tips! Joanie

The Fashion Source is your go-to, one-stop-shop (no pun intended), for all things fashion. Our mission is to define the true meaning of life, how to achieve world peace, and what shoes to wear with that new pencil skirt...ok, maybe we're reaching a bit too high...we're overachievers - it can't be helped. But we can definitely figure out that shoe thing.
I started wearing my mom’s pearls and rocking hot pink painted nails by age 3. I guess that should’ve been a sign. Ever since I’ve been obsessed with all things fashion – and I’m not about to start apologizing for it. Besides spending my days and nights shopping, or at the very least, thinking about shopping, I‘m almost equally obsessed with cooking great food and baking red velvet cupcakes.
Even though I was born and raised in the ever-sunny climate of L.A., deep down I’m a New York girl at heart. I live for salsa dancing till my feet hurt and am on a never-ending quest for the best burrito and/ or crème bruele (not to be eaten together mind you) and am currently working on expanding my collection of shoes and purses.
Afraid to wear white after Labor Day? Perplexed by which face cream works best for your skin type? Need to know what accessories to wear with your new wrap dress?
It can be overwhelming, we know. So let me figure it out for you!
I'll get back to you personally and may even post your question and my answer on the blog (anonymously of course!)
Stay stylish.
